About
Why Valor Wealth Management Group Exists
Valor Wealth Management Group was founded by Todd Liddick. After his service in the Air Force and attending college, Todd first became a financial advisor in 1999. After the events of 9/11 and the DC Beltway Sniper, something pulled him back — a sense of duty he could not ignore sitting behind a desk. He walked away from corporate life and put on the uniform of a Maryland State Trooper.
The financial advisor background never left him throughout his career with the Maryland State Police. While working alongside his fellow first responders, he saw something most did not : the retirement benefits of first responders were unique and more complex than most civilian employees. Todd realized this community was underserved and was being left behind.
Most advisors have never worn a badge or felt the weight of a pension election form or DROP decision, knowing you only get one shot and if made wrong, can never be undone. Todd understood the importance of coordinating pension, DROP, 457(b), and TSP accounts for future tax strategy planning. So, after retiring from the state police, he founded Valor Wealth Management Group. Todd continues his service today, working alongside the men and women who serve with Valor.
